Thumbs up 1997 NA OM606 Replacing plastic fuel lines

Hello all, so I replaced all the clear plastic fuel lines. Tried cranking for a while but it won't start. Not seeing any fuel on the thermostat fuel line. Eventually the battery started to lose its juice, so now I have to charging. Can someone please provide some pointer as to what I can do to troubleshoot the issue? Appreciate it!

Exclamation Help!! No Start

So far, no fuel in the line that's coming through the thermostat. Should I replace the thermostat? I also cracked the injector lines on the top while trying to start but to luck. I recharged the battery to 100%. Definitely lot of air in the lines. Does anyone have any idea that I could try ?

I heard you can use a mityvac with the brake bleeder attachment to suck in fuel, however I don't know how to instruct on how to do so.

Don't forget to grease the screw and threads on the spring compressor.

Install a low pressure electric fuel pump on the fuel line where the hose attaches to the hard line on the driver's side firewall. Get a pump intended for carbureted engine with a pressure rating of about 3 to 5 psi and that free flows when off. Use it to prime the system every time you open it up. It will be the best $30 you ever spent on that car.

Mity vac on return line nipple at filter housing. Pull fuel thru and watch for bubbles. If you get bubbles and they dont go away in short order you haven't installed the lines correctly and air is leaking in somewhere. Look for where the bubbles start from if that's the case.

I did have to replace my fuel heater because it leaked air and bubble formed immediately after it when running. Now no more bubbles.

Thank ya’ll! Ordered this one: PLDDE New 1pc Universal 2.5-4.5 PSI 12V High Performance free Flow In Line External Electric Fuel Pump With Complete Installation Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0762CZTP5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_wk3wCbT70XQRG. What would be a best place to splice into wiring for 12V to power this? Planning to attach this on the sender line that goes to the thermostat...that should be good right?

Trying out Electric Pump

Thank you all! So I ended up ordering this. Hopefully this will do the trick. Planing to attach this on the sender/feeder line that goes to the fuel thermostat from near the firewall. Can anyone please tell me where would be good point to splice in for wiring this with 12V?

This has to be perfect leak tight and then is still a long crank. Agree with priming. Also, pre-fill the fuel filter and ensure the filter rubber gasket is not damaged.
