Garrett wastegate retaining spring, clip. Getting it back on.

What's the secret to getting this back on while installed on the car?

Most of the DIYs just say "put it back together" or it's "harder to put back together than it is to take apart". These are gross understatements!

Obviously, I have the air cleaner off. Any secrets?

I got it in! What an odd design. I could think a few better designs than that.

I don't think I could think of a way to explain it in writing though. I guess the explanation at this site is as good as any...

I tolja so ! .

If you do it a few times it becomes fairly easy, I don't want to do it that much .

I find that having long fingernails makes holding the inner end of that darn spring in place whilst you work the rest of it in much easier .

10# boost isn't enough ~ 12 ~ 14 # really wakes up the engine, 15 + tends to beat up on the engine a fair bit .
