W210 Diesel...first official issue :(

I've had a Mercedes since Valentine's Day of this year, and to finally have a problem after a little over 2 months, I consider myself fortunate lol Occasionally, the lamp out light will come on, but usually go away later in the day.

I was driving the car to get sushi tonight and about halfway on the trip the BAS ASR light came on and the dash said anti slip regulation, so I'm consulting ye olde Google for some ideas as to what is causing it so hopefully I can knock it out relatively easily. Cross your fingers for me.

Might be the brake switch at the pedal.

Systems can go crazy under low voltage so it might be a tired battery.

Make sure you did not bump the switch (that turns it off) to "off".

Oh yeah forgot about the brake pedal switch on the 210 this is a weak point.

The switch has 2 sets of contacts, one turns on your brake lights and the other goes into the control system. If this contact fails it causes all kinds of issues with controls.

It is not expensive and easy to change. It is at the pivot point of the brake pedal under the dash and just clips in.
