Gravity bleed works well.

Trick is to use plastic film between the resevoir and the cap just before closing the bleeder valve.
On 'Stormcloud', I let a few ounces of DOT 5 run through each line to clean out the water and rust that invariably settles into the bottom of the brake caliper.

This was done prior to the brake upgrade.W116 brake upgrade

Over my career I've encountered many poor braking and oft times dangerous vehicles that had mis matching brake parts installed side to side .

I'll never have an Ate on one axle and a Bendix on t'other .

Yes, it'll all bolt up and bleed out, no, they're not the same .

I've done it. No problem. As long as the pistons are same diameter they will provide equal braking.
