Window Switch Placement?
 

Hello,
I posted previously regarding the window switches not working,
and was told they have to be positioned correctly.
Well I cleaned them. Now the Left Switches...the one closest
to the front of the car, works, on the Left front window. The
switch closer to the back works, It's the Left Back Window.
The switches on the other side do not work at all.
I tried to replace the fuses...Even with the little tool, difficult,
and all but a couple ended up mangled by the time I got them positioned.
So My Question IS:...It seems before when they all worked, the left switches
would control the Left drivers side and the Right back window and vice
versa. Should this Matter, If the Left side works in that order now,
wouldn't the right side?, Since the A & B fuses Correspond to left front,
right back...would both fuses be okay, since the left front and left back work?

Does not work that way.

One fuse works left front and right back.
Another fuse works right front and left back.
If one blows, the other set of windows will continue to work.

Your post is a little confusing; is this your question?

In re-reading your post above, it looks like you have both fuses working.

Thanks...yes I know confusing. Basically, The left side switches Both Work.
(left front window, left rear window)
So That must Mean Both the A & B fuses are OK right?....
(since B operates front left, and A operates rear left)
So the problem must be in the right side switches, not the fuses?

We are crossing posts. Beginning to understand. Using the left switch you can lower the front left and the rear left window. So that means that both fuses are OK. Which must mean that the right switch is bad. (I think from looking at the pic below you can just plug in the right switch on the left side and test; if it stops working, it is bad. You cannot put the left switch on the right side (I am guessing) because of the two extra pins. But putting right on the left side might work.)

So....the Window switches as installed now...On the Left side bank of switches,
The Front toggle switch works on the Left Front Window, the Back toggle Switch works the Left Rear Window. (both switches are on the drivers side
of the console)
The bank of switches on The right side of Car, They do not work at all.

Yep, right switch bad. Move it over the left and plug it in; the windows will now not work proving the switch bad.

My question is...If the switches have to be in specific positions
and can't be switched around...If I put the switches on the right
into the connections on the left...the switches would not work
anyway?

Does the right rear passenger window work using the switch on the door?

Umm.....I really didn't know there is a switch on the door...
If they do work what does that mean as opposed to if they don't...
I'll have to check that. But At least the fuses work.

The rear doors should have switches for the windows. The front doors are only done from the center console. If the door switch operates the window, you know for sure the switch in the center console is bad. If it doesn't, you may have wiring issues or a dead window motor.

Maybe, I'll leave the left bank alone, since they work.
Take out the right bank again, clean again, and put back in the
reverse order. Other than that, I think I'll have to leave it to my
mechanic. I don't dare try to take off the door panel. These old cars
are hard just to work with. My finger are a mess just from trying to
replace fuses.

Great!...I never knew the windows in the back could be controlled.
If they work that's a good thing.

Try the back seat buttons. If all the windows work, buy a right side front switch from Pelican and that should solve your problem.

The console switches control both the front and rear windows. The rear doors also have individual switches on the door panels.

Well, Neither window switch works in the back seat, the left or right.
But the Left hand switches on the console both work for the left front and rear windows.
I'm just going to take the switch apart and try to clean it and put together again.
