rear caliper id

my rear calipers are rusty and siezed, is there an easy identification for these? any identification letters appear to be lost to rust. thanks

What model car are you asking about? Is this for your 300D or S350? If you have a picture of the caliber that might help with the identification. Thanks.

The easiest way to identify if you have Girlings/Bendix or ATE (TEVES) Calipers is to go to the Peachparts parts section and look at the brake caliper hardware kit. The difference between the Girling/Bendix it and the ATE will be obvious.

Brake Hoses?

If you are changing the Brake Hoses and the fittings are also rusted start soaking the fittings in your favorite penetrating oil.

Well, Bendix clearly says bendix on them, and have cotter pins on the front - easy to recognize. IMO most likely otherwise they’re most likely ATE (Teeves), but there are girling ones out there.

Agree on replacing the brake hoses as standard maintenance on these cars if they haven’t been done in recent memory...

Since you are replacing both. Cheapest rebuilts may be better than brand. They all bolt up as Mercedes used several suppliers for the same part.

For example ATE rebuilt calipers are generally cheaper. Someone can correct me if I am wrong. The only concern I might have is the retail supplier of the rebuilts will accept another brand of core. In my experience they never even check.

What I find ridiculous is what is charged retail for a kit to redo your own calipers. Everyone has to make a dollar. I have no issue with that. Yet some take it to extremes in my opinion.

looks like they are ATE by the suggestions here, thanks gentlemen
