My opinion is to save everything! If you get rid of it now, one day you will need it and have to pay a premium to replace it. I have been saving 'Benz parts for years, and just sold 7 cars and a shed and backyard full of parts to one guy. Made good $ for stuff most people would be happy to get scrap value for. Engines/parts are getting scarce, so saving a complete running engine is worth it in the long run.

When have you accumulated enough stuff? You go buy something you already have but have forgotten you had it. Also try to keep organized or from time to time it will be both fruitless and time consuming to attempt finding what you know you have.
Also can be frustrating to some degree in my case. Although some time much later you will accidentally find it. Try to keep smaller stuff in zip lock bags labeled clearly. Otherwise after years you may not be sure of what it fits. I am not a hoarder but I still have too much stuff. I should sell a lot of it before I expire. Otherwise expect it to go for next to nothing for most things today. At an estate sale. |
