FYI

If the blower fuse is getting hot...

The motor bearings are seizing up and need repair or a new motor.

And yeah... use ceramic body fuses.

An inductive amp meter can help you sort out things. You just need enough room for one strand of the wire to hook inside of the channel (you don't have to tape into the circuit) the back of the gauge.

There is also a wider channel to slide a battery cable in so that you can check the amperage when you Starter is cranking.

The one pictured is from sears but NAPA used to ones similar in function for around $25 but there is no metal shield on them.

So if I burned a Blower Motor Fuse and I inserted another Fuse and got the inductive Amp Meter on one of the wires right next to the Blower and turned the Blower on I would get the amperage that the Blower Motor.
If you check both wires and they are both pulling the same amperage that is too much then it is likely the Motor or something keeping the motor from turning freely.
Fully agree. That car was destroyed by an idiot not paying attention who rear ended me and two other stopped cars. Mine took the brunt.

Off topic. I was parked on the street with the 84 300D and backed into a later model Mercedes which got pushed into another car and the rear of the Mercedes got slightly damaged.

The owner of the Mercedes got surveillance for the Target next door (remember I was on the street not in the Target parking lot).

My Mercedes was hit x2 in different incidents in different parking lots and both places sais they wont give copies of surveillance.

Last year my Mercedes was side swiped ruining the rear door. My Wife got a really good picture of a New VW Bug that hit here. But, the Car was evidently newly purchased and had no Licensee Plates only the Paper Proof of purchase tapped to the inside rear window which was too small to read in the photo.

My car was a beater before it had those 3 accidents.
