Coco mats

I ordered a set of Coco Mats for my SLD, and to my surprise they sent a little box with samples and patterns. The idea is to make sure the pattern is correct, and adjust accordingly. It is a good thing, as the pattern needed to be cut down on the sides a little, and some added on the corners to make them more square. I will modify the patterns as needed, and send them back for use in making my mats to order. This is a great service they offer, and it will make for a nice looking (and fitting) set of mats!

They did the same for my S124 - the regular floor mat pattern they sent fit fine, but the rear cargo area and rear seat back area (for when the seats are folded down) needed modification.

I would love a set of the Calico Coco Mats for my W116.

They are pretty expensive, but way cool. Just the two front mats for the SLD were about $200. It is worth it for what they are going in. The color I chose is a little lighter than palomino with beige spots interspersed. The beige spots match the exterior color almost perfectly. I think they will look fantastic.......Rich

How are they to clean and keep clean? Do you have to have something special to do it with?

They're easy...The coco/coir fibers don't seem to absorb anything at all, rather, dirt falls through the weave and onto the rubber base. Holding upright, I smack them a few times with the palm of my hand and any dirt that's settled beneath the fiber falls right out. For dust or other small particles, I hose em down and dry them upside down. They're silly expensive but well worth it...

And one thing I never read here while researching whether or not to buy was how much highway sound they end up damping -a significant amount.
