The 722.6 shifter (at least how it’s done in the W210) has an electronic switch and LED module to tell the transmission computer what gear is being selected. When you move out of D into the 4-3-2-1 region, moving the handle slightly to the left decouples the handle from the transmission (so the mechanical lever stays in the “D” position) and the electronics tell what gear you’ve chosen.

I highly suspect they’ve gone and installed the aftermarket gear controller for the 722.6 and a mechanical IP. Trying to get the DAS working in another car is difficult since you need the instrument cluster, key switch, and the engine and transmission computers at a minimum.
Seems as if any questions relating to the actual swap are being evaded. It's for sale on many different sites at different prices. So far, I've received zero answers on things I asked about. Some details would be nice to know for those of us actually interested. For me, this is a deal breaker. Sorry seller.

I realize this, but if you look at the gate it’s not right for the early style. Is should move down into D and then left into 4. It’s doesn’t look right to my eyes...

I asked about the build over in his Benz world thread. Naturally no answers...

This is definitely NOT a 722.6 shifter. The seller is lying.

This is how an early 722.6 shifter should look.

Spot the difference?

In addition to the shifter anomaly noted above, there would be a clearance problem for the 722.6 box in the tunnel. The link that follows is the saga of installing a 722.6 in a W126 with an M117, an engine that is four cylinders long. There are pictures in the thread of the 722.6 in the tunnel with no clearance left. The tunnel becomes narrower farther aft. With an engine that is six cylinders long, the transmission would be pushed farther aft; there is no room available to do so.

722.6 into 560SEL with M117
