Euro 123 300D ... what to do with it

Picked up an 83 euro 123 300d that was local. I'll be honest - I mainly bought it for the bumpers to swap on my white 240D.

Trying to figure out what to do with this car before my wife kills me for buying another car.

Options Are:

Sell to a junk yard

Try and list the car for sale whole (probably would list it @ $800?)

Try and part it out if anyone finds some of the parts of value

Would love to just get rid of this thing easily...

I have the back bumper - just have to put it on.

I'd be interested in the injector pump if it is an

M series pump and also the intake and

exhaust manifolds. Location?

Interesting how they modded the air filter to get rid of the shakey-breaky factory design. I put a 1985 CA frame-mounted air filter can on my 1984 300D to make it like my 1985.

Your 1978 should have an all metal radiator and it's easy to clean up using the Citric Acid flush......

That's a replacement, all the '78's & '79's I had came with factory metal tanked radiators, cleaned 'em up and they were great in the Mojave Desert .

Unless the neck has broken and been repaired, try cleaning it with the citric Acid ~ takes time but nothing beats an original radiator with the proper 60/40 % coolant mix in it.....

I hope this car gets saved .

actually i dont know.. owner said it "ran great when parked"

I tried throwing a battery in it this morning and starting it but it wouldn't start... wanted to... but wouldn't.

Not sure if the battery I had on hand wasn't strong enough to get it to spin fast enough to fire. Has 190xxx miles and seems to have been well cared for.

I would let it go for $350 to anyone that will come and pick it up.

If its not too rusty definitely try to sell it whole. Who knows if someone will buy it, but there are way less of them around now than even 10 years ago.

I need two of these little chrome bezel things that go around the interior door pull knob that unlocks the car door. Sorry, for the blurry photo.
