Hello everyone. I am new to the forum. I have 2 300sd's. The 84 is idiling rough and I took the injection pump adjustment bolt out and put another in that had good spring tension. I adjusted it and the car idiled and ran good for a week or so. Then it didn't. Now it comes and goes and it is falling on it's face. Just shutting off. I have an 82 doing the same thing, but it's worse and has less miles. I deleted the egr system and it was plugged, but it didn't make a difference. I am currently running the 82 straight out of a jug to bypass the fuel system. When you put it in gear it shuts off. You have to be accelerating for it to run. The 82 has a good idle and it will rev up in park, but then it just falls on it's face. Any thoughts?
