Hey guys,

Been lurking on the forum a while and am the new owner of a 1980 240D. My previous experience is in 1950's American cars so this is a fun change of pace. The car is in pretty decent driver condition and I've been enjoying freshening up things on it. The ultimate goal for this one is to build it out as a 70's/80's themed pro cycling team support car for my bike shop.

What I wanted to ask today is if anyone had any idea what kind of mounts this Raleigh team car is using to mount crossbars on the trunk lid. Has anyone seen anything like this?



I have successfully built a roof rack using generic rain gutter mounts but am looking to knock out the truck rack next. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Here's a pic of my car as she sits. (I've sorted out a new hood ornament since this picture, though!)
