W123 - Did I bypass the power when testing wiper switch?
 

I ordered a new column switch for my windshield wipers. I just unplugged my old wipers and plugged in my new one to test it and it didn't work. I never bothered with the two wires that are suppose to go to the horn and connect to this switch too.

Now I'm wondering if that's how this part gets power (I know next-to-nothing about trouble-shooting electrical stuff).

Do I need to test the switch with the two wires that connect for the horn?
