Wow. Sorry to hear about your loss.

I have to agree with engatwork. Hell, I bought my '95 E300 with 300,000 on the clock. Now it has 413,000. I have to agree, it's the most bullet-proof reliable car I've ever owned, period.

It's gonna be a heart breaker when I let it go (soon). I miss my 123, but I'll miss the '95 even more.

Thumbs up

replaced with a 2008 Acura RL which is an upgrade for the wife's daily driver. I would love to get a MB convertible in the future.

Again thanks for all the info I have learned here over the years caretaking this car.

Was there more damage than what's obvious above the rear tail light?

Looks like the car is up for auction tomorrow. Would be a good chance for somebody to pick it up cheap

man i wish i knew how to get that kind of money for these cars....i bought one in philly a few years ago with 212k for $900 and drove it around for a year with a few repairs. i thought it was a great deal but i couldn't get a sniff at $2500 when i went to sell it.

i traded it to a guy and it's been for sale a couple more time on FB.....i could have had it back last week with 235k for $800 with all the parts to fix the several issues it currently has....i only bid 700 for this one because nobody wants them around here....no way are they bringing that $4-5k bread around here

I would have fixed the dent and went on with life.

You could have gotten at least $4 or 5k at sale if not more. 300k miles isn't a death sentence on a w124. Especially if there wasn't rust.

An operable car that passes inspection is worth at least a couple grand more. The wrecker will probably fix and flip it.

Wow! this is an even worse " It's totaled " story than when a run away shopping cart hit one of my customers cars in the quarter panel and was declared a " total " . Getting 3 K for this car is bordering on insurance fraud, there is no way this fix is over $ 1,500 at a retail level .

Just think, someone is going to run away screaming that this car has a salvage title and is "Junk " according to car fax and others.

Ya y'all crazy, 3k is pretty much like exactly the price he could sell it for after sitting on Craigslist for 3 months...

I dunno what the big deal is, if he was done with car and ready for the next one I don't see any shame in this.

3k is a nice payout for that. I wouldn't pay over $2200 for it

No it doesn’t show that after the auction closes
