3.5l om603 garrett .55 trim turbo rebuild part numbers
This is for the .55 trim turbos in 3.5l OM603 motors (90-91 350SDL w126 and 92-95 3.5l 300SD/S350 w140):
Turbo Manufacturer: Garrett Turbo Part OE No: 454039-0001 Turbo Model: TB0390 Cartridge (CHRA): 409174-0067 Turbine Wheel: 451311-0014 Compressor Wheel: 409096-0009 Bearing Housing 430027-0025 Backplate / Sealplate 430108-0004 Heatshield / Shroud 409639-0000 Cartridge - TB0390 for Turbo International The cartridges are getting hard to find for these, however Turbo International stocks all the components to build them. Their website helped clear up some confusion from the STD forum regarding part numbers and I have a new cartridge on the way for ~$300. The only thing is they will not sell directly to end users so you have to call and find a distributor to buy from. Another option for more hands-on people is to use those part numbers to buy and assemble your own CHRA: The only downside to this is you would still have to pay ~$75 to have your wheels/shaft balanced from someone like miketurbo: https://www.miketurboinc.com/services/ Which is why most people probably opt for an assembled/balanced CHRA.
