you're getting it from the fuel station. Is the starton biocide?

I bought a new strainer,gasket and the fuel hose with the threaded bolt part for the strainer for mine.

Replaced the fuel tank as it was a smaller one now got the 280E tank in it. I use SVO now no algae anymore.

It's an enzyme that eats the fungus and passes it out as a fine waste, that's why it will pass through the filters, injection pump and injectors with out causing damage .

If you use it early enough it does a great job .

I'm quite sure all the fungus I've gotten came from a filling station's nozzle, sometimes the nozzle is dead black or fuzzy with fungus....

Propel's nozzles are never black/fuzzy/cruddy .

The W123 tanks are the same, some are smaller, I swapped out the 18 gallon tank in my '82 240D with one from a later 300D, the in tank strainer is different (finer mesh) for gassers but either can be used in a pinch .
