OM617 rocker arm locator rings
 

Hey guys, Ive been on about a month of hiatus on my 617 rebuild. I actually seem to have lost a locating ring that go around the bolts that clamp the rocker towers down. Itś been a while so I dont know if I lost it 2 years ago when I tore it apart or during the two times I sent my head to the shop for different things. However I am sure that I need one.

I cant find any on ebay, and dont really want to go to a junkyard and spend 2 hours just to bring those silly things home! Has anyone else had a similar issue?

If no one comes up with any for you could go to one of those Mercedes part sites that has the exploded views of the parts and find the part number and see if Mercedes has them.

I think you need Item 53 - listed as a Fitted Sleeve in EPC.
