Mine broke and at the local hardware store got a stainless steel e-clip that's not metric, fits a little loose but works well. Don't remember the size.

I think NAPA has those clips. You might want to take a photo on your phone to show them.

E-clips from many of the cheaper sources are too thick and will not fit. IIRC, I purchased the HF "kit" and they wouldn't fit. Eventually, I just went to the dealer because paying them $2 was cheaper than the waste of time. Just a thought to keep in mind. You may be luckier.

Sorry, it was a few years ago and I don't recall. The difference may be something simple, such as stainless vs steel. It's a fairly common part and they should be able to easily find it for you.

Roger the hardware store. I have two different types of clips hat I used on my linkage. Whatever is functional works. C-clip, hairpin clip, spring clip. The function is to keep the linkage together.

It is an E clip because in your picture about where the pliers are grabbing it there is a piece of metal in the middle of inside arc of the clip. A "C" clip does not have that central piece of metal in the middle.
