Smile OK! Northwest gathering!?

I'm glad the Cal guys got something set up.
So how's about a Northwest meet? Is there enough of us in Oregon, Washington, Vancouver B.C. area? (And of course anyone one else that wants to drive a little further)

Border Crossing:
It isn't anything like it was. Check out the DOT cameras at:
http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/regions/northwest/traffic/bordercams/
You can expect some delays on Friday & Sunday nights and at holidays.

Hi Rick,

I would be interested in a meet a little closer to the Seattle Metro area, Canada is a good 3 1/2 hours for me each way.

My advise on the borders, leave early, if anything the lines are a little longer and slower. After all, do you have any idea how many suspicious Americans are trying to enter Canada these days?

Hey, Cool! I'm glad to hear from several others from the great pacific northWET!
Lets see if a few more respond, then we'll pick somewhere kinda centrally located for everyone. Would be a kick to hear a half a dozen (or more) deezls lined up knocking away in unison!

I'll keep posting on this thread to keep it on the first page:p
No one new here yet. We've got one vote for meeting in Seattle so far. Any other votes?
I'm willing to drive a ways as long as it's in the summer or early fall.
Do we wanna meet at a park, or a Denny's, or a ......?

I used to live in Issaquah, WA (its aprrox 10 min east of Seattle, off of I-90, right next to Bellevue); "Lake Sammamish St. Park" has very more than ample parking (and its usually pretty empty), plus has expansive grassy areas and BBQ pits, and of course it overlooks the beautiful Lake Sammamish- i'd think it'd might be a good place to look into...Any ideas??
I live in Portland, but the Seattle area would be a piece o-cake for me to drive to...

Hi Rick,I would drive as far as the Seattle area if the timing was right,I think I would feel a little out of place at an MBCA meet with my 22 year old OTD

Thanks for the stickey, Txbill
I was also thinking of Lake Sammamish. I belonged to a car club in the late '80's and we used that for a yearly show-n-shine. It works really great.

I may be able to make a meet in the Seattle area, depending on the timing. I would love to see a bunch o' diesels clattering in unison. I am about two hours away if driving on I-5 early in the morning.

I would be interested if it is in the Greater Seattle Metropolitan area, but would be more likely to attend if it was held in Eastern Washington, if anyone would be interested in doing that.

Ellensburg is kind of a cross roads. (Also windy as Hell! )
I see a pattern developing as I've tried to pull together a meet over the last week or so. We almost need to set up a meet for each state. Everyone has about the same limit of what they are willing to drive. If we go one way, it'll upset some, if we go the other direction, well, you get the idea. I don't want to exclude anymore people then we need to. I wanna see a messa deezls all lined up
So keep making suggestions, and we'll eventually just have to pick a place and extend appologies to anyone who deems it too far for them. Maybe we can plan a little farther in advance for next year and do a little better for everyone.

I would love to attend, it would be really cool to meet all the people and see their diesels. Ellensburg is only 30 minutes away from yakima, and I would definately be there.

So far, the most reply's have favored Seattle area for a meet. Not as many liked Ellensburg, or farther east.
So on that note, does Lake Samammish in Issaquah sound good still?
Next issue is when. I'm kinda backed up for July and first weekend in August, but some of those plans could be changed.
