I just went and purchased a carton of microwave popcorn packages. There is potential in this thread. Until that Mercedes is repaired.

I have been contacted by a law firm which is pushing a class action suit about this. It feels completely different from VW's action. There was a VW usa website which dealt with me. Any thoughts on that?

It looks like the final Judgement to enact the decisions of the case is supposed to happen on January 24th according to what I've been seeing in the information going through on it. Not sure how long it will take for things to actually get rolling after that though.

Besides the obvious litigation. Possibly sometime is needed to find the best fix option for at least the company.
For example I do not know if this premium diesel we optionally buy here in Canada could be mandated everywhere. The ex volkswagon service manager from where we purchased a volkswagon buy back. Said he thought it made a differance. He even suggested strongly to not to burn the regular diesel fuel in these cars. Perhaps it is the only diesel fuel they should sell? I never knew it even existed untill he told me where to buy it. For some unknown reason they really do not sell it in America to my knowledge. Yet it is available in a lot of countries. I have wondered how these types of vehicles have done on their better fuel in Europe compared to America. So far it is only available at one service station locally. Still scarce enough you have to look up on the net who is selling it and where. Before a trip. The oil companies are not pushing it but most of us use it now? If and when we can access it. Currently about 4 cents more an American gallon and proven to increase fuel millage. That alone is a no brainer. The oil companies claim a heavy package of additives. Being several detergents and a celane booster. I believe without personal experience or knowledge it does increase fuel milage. As the heavy truck owners report this. Plus a few Americans visiting us said their diesel vehicles operated noticeably better on the fuel overall. Before the virus plague that is. We hear nothing if vehicles in Europe are overall requiring less maintance costs with these systems. If it burns a lot cleaner is what these engines need.
