Maybe they will offer free oil changes for life on the vehicles.

Extended warranties are part of the deal, but I don't know how much.

Its not forever....it depends on which repair the vehicle receives and how many miles are on it. Looks like in most cases it will be full emission system coverage for at least ~50k miles from when the fix is installed....as the majority of vehicles covered are easily in the 85-100k+ range at this point....

Not bad....overall. I'm sure if too many things go wrong with their fix on too many vehicles too quickly then the eyes of litigation will be gleaming down on them again, so they'll probably be pretty flexible with keeping this stuff working.

I don't think that will matter....it looks like it will be handled like any normal recall/settlement process. I am not a MBNA member either.

MBNA? Isn't that Mercedes Benz of North America, the company? How would you join that?

Maybe MBCA, the club? Doubt that would help.

I sold the little bmw to my son. The sport seat was so hard it bruised my arse and theighs.

I have bought that 92 euro diesel wagon. Waiting for delievery.

i stopped by the dealer yesterday and the service manager said they have now heard about the emission fix but he does not have part numbers yet so it will still be a while.

The service mgr called and asked me to come take it away. He told me before it would not start again but suddenly it had 3 more starts indicated. I parked it out back. Since i am making payments on it I hope they fix it soon.

Use VIN Check - Lookup VIN number and get vehicle DataCard | BenzCat.com to print out the factory build data card before you go in for the service. Then check it after the service and see if the update is noted. Just curious if the data cards are dynamic.
