Injectors OM617 Turbo Diesel
What is the best source or solution to replace my injectors or nozzles in my 1979 300 SD Turbo Diesel? Is there a reputable re-builder? I prefer not to get made in India Bosh stuff. Would like to have injectors with Bosio, Firad or Monark nozzles. Thanks in advance for any advice or help.

One of our Members rebuilds them. I can never remember how to spell his member name. His name ought to be mentioned somewhere in the repair links if someone does not post it.

greazzer is our injector guy.
In my case, before I knew he existed, I bought Bosio (Italian-made) on line and took them with the injectors to a local Diesel shop to balance them. Been something over six years now and they are still performing flawlessly. I think that I read somewhere that Bosio are no longer available. I understand that Firad and Monark are both German-made. Keep us informed, please. |

I'd trust Greazzer with my firstborn. He rebuilt my injectors on my OM616.916 motor, rebuilt my lift pump and supplied an excellent overflow valve spring. Arrived back in the UK with no issues.
Rock solid guy who obsesses over his customers to the best of his ability.

Greazzer built the injectors I run in Mutt the Race Truck. I ran them with the stock pump and now with the Dieselmeken pump and they have performed flawlessly. Good guy, good work.

Greazzer For The Win
....But do remember that if your clear plastic fuel intake screen has any crud in it, your fuel system is dirty and not up to par .
Putting fresh properly balanced injectors into a system with any sort of crud in i means they won't remain so sweet for long . The balancing is the key to amazing smoothness of your engine .

i had really good luck with my India Bosch when i rebuilt my injectors. BUT i ultrasonically cleaned the new nozzles before installation. i'd used India Bosch on a 1.6 VW and didn't have good patterning but i also didn't clean them first. so from a very small sample, not statistically valid, i'd say cleaning is crucial on the Indias. maybe manufacturing just improved between the time i got nozzles for the 1.6 many years ago and now.

+ whatever to Greazzer. He did a fantastic job on my injectors, and even redid them when I had issues that turned out to not be related to him at all. Fantastic customer service.
