Not Happy With The Look Of My USA Bumpers, Had To Make A Change
1 Attachment(s)
I have a confession to make. I've been hiding something from you all for several years now and have to come clean. I know I've said in the past that I love my USA version bumpers and have defended them against people saying horrible things about them. So, I decided to modify my bumpers so they are closer to the way Mercedes intended for them to look.

Thank you for doing ANYTHING to improve the bumpers on a US-spec W116! It's unforgivable that MB took one of the best looking cars they made and turned it into a hideous monster with those disgusting "diving board" bumpers and revolting sealed-beam headlights. |

Euro lights and bumpers completely transformed my car. |

I believe you, would like to get some more. Am buying two W116 cars shortly for a song and a half from a guy who needs storage space. |

They had no choice if they wanted to sell in the US.
Here's an idea: name one car which transitioned from non impact bumpers to impact that looked good. Or name a car that transitioned from the separate lense headlights to sealed beam to sell here that looked really good. |
Strange that the picture didn't show up, as it showed up for me. Try now.

New bumpers look great, BAY-BAY ;)

All you're missing now is some cushions and a couple dozen passengers!
|
Where I feel really let down is that they didn’t wrap the bumpers all the way around the car.
I’m happy to climb in through the window knowing my doors will be safe!! |
Hah! You're never gonna fit THAT car in your garage!:D:D
