MORE Helping Hands & Meet & Greet
O.K. so, another member from up North came by my place as he was in town for business and helped me learn how to use the factory A-B I.P. timing light to check and adjust my IP timing .
It turns out the I.P. my buddy installed for me a while back had been mis timed, about 4 degrees late . So, we used the tool to re set the timing to 26 degrees and the engine now runs more powerfully and smokes less ~ every time I pull away from a long traffic light I still see some gray smoke so I guess it's time to yank my injectors and pop test them, I bet the fungus is causing one to drool a little bit as once warmed up the engine loped and has a very soft miss . He had the correct reamer so we did that too, not a whole lot of carbon came out but its good to know it's right now . I have significantly better, crisper throttle response and the car yanks up her skirts and runs from a dead stop to 45 MPH using much less throttle . We had a nice day visiting, good to put a face to the messages after all this time and to meet his dog 'Snoopy' too . This is the essence of forums like this, being helpful not paranoid .
