does this look correct for an 85TD?

Ebay has a way of not living up to expectations. I can't tell whether this is a hosted service or disk to use on my machines as desired or what??

That is a download of the mb wis/epc. You have to install it. The WIS shop manual is a computerized hard to navigate system for later models. No 123s or 126s in there!. The epc will work for all models. I bought one of those recently off ebay to replace one that expired. Cost about C$5.00. WIS does cover my W210, but I bought mainly for the EPC even that not really needed. Many available online, but this one allows VIN specific parts to be indentified. No year given for your link? The installations expire after a number of years, so latest version is best. I bought late2019 version from UK seller linked above.

If you're looking for a shop manual for a 85 TD then it's free on startekinfo:

One problem I have with the Startek version, is that it needs Flash. I don't seem to have that in Chrome, so have to switch to Firefox. Flash can be enabled by going to settings-security and set to ask for each site visited. Apparently Flash will not be supported at all after Dec 2020. We should find a way of coppying the entire W123 manuals and storing the pages as pdfs. Maybe someone has done that?

I have the originals on a DVD, but for some reason, it no longer works.

I have noticed that those manuals are not 100% up to date for the '85. But they do cover most of what we need.

I haven't gotten the startek site to work with firefox. Other sites are incomplete.

@Graham - browse to where your program is installed and try running the relevent .swf file. I have the 126 cds and for example chassis_300SD.swf brings up the chassis info.

The htm files should point to the swf files but quit working. I haven't spent the time to figure out why - only so many hrs in a day. Time to go find door cladding to send to the paint shop and repair a seat spring.

My 123 CD or DVD is still on the disk. Not installed. I too should find out whey it doesn't work. That Startek one will stop working by end of year when Flash dies.

Now I enabled Flash on Chrome, Startek works OK. It always did on Firefox. Both ask if it is OK to use Flash.

I just fixed my 123 Manual. Took about 5 minutes!

First download the relevant manual zip file from from here: https://mercedeslist.com/readme.html

Just follow the very simple instructions to transfer th cd Program folder to the appropriate new folder that the unzipping created.(The link uses the W126 as an example)
