My lines (the clear lines leading to and from the main fuel filter) are quite hard/brittle. i have been able to find a replacement for one, but not the other. Replacements come with the brass fittings at each end, but my question here is:
Is it not possible to retain the fittings and simply find similar tubing, sliding it on to existing fittings? If so, would anyone be able to provide me with specs/links/recommendations for sourcing this tubing?

Think the question is the opposite - needs the tubing.

Belmetric has line or hose also ,give a look and choose,if you want to make your own.

If you don't value having a clear hose they can be replaced with regular fuel hose you get at the chain auto parts stores. I replaced them with rubber hose when I modified my Filter Housing (to install a lager diameter fuel filter) that required moving the housing a inch+ which would not allow the stock hoses to work.

Getting the Plastic Hose off of the Banjo Nipples required me to use tap to pad the jaws of a vice grips used to grab the Banjo and I used a propane torch with only enough heat to soften the plastic so you can yank it completely off.
If you over heat it the plastic will stick to the nipple and you risk scratching the nipple when you remove the melted on plastic hose.

The red arrow in the attached pic points to one of the lines I replaced with rubber hose.

If you have an MW type fuel injection Pump you might consider replacing the skinny oil supply line that goes from the block to the fuel injection pump. It is made similar plastic as the fuel lines.

Thanks @Diesel911, I do have that skinny oil supply line (green arrow). It is a lot thinner, but is likely quite brittle. I'll look at swapping that too.

Thanks to the others for sourcing options. I'd not yet found either of those sources. Much appreciated.
I'd like to stick with the clear line if possible, so will go that route first. For removing the line, as it is quite hard, I'd think the best rout for removal would be to cut a line (in line with the hose) where it goes over the fitting, as I'm sure it would be a nightmare to just pull off. If I cut it (razor blade), I'd think that would allow me to get it off.
