What did management have to say? Were they eager to take your call?
I'm sorry Linda, but you've worn out your welcome. No one brought gender into this except you. Every thread you post goes something like this: * Linda asks question 1. * Forum regular answers question 1 clearly. * Linda asks question 1, in different words. * Form regular answers question 1 again, clearly. * Linda asks unrelated question 2. * Forum regular answers question 2 clearly. * Linda returns to asking question 1 again. * Forum regular kindly explains to Linda how to more effectively communicate or to ask quizzically why she is repeating the same question and wasting people's time, and making it harder for other newbies to solve their own problems. * Linda asks if she can use olive oil or butter in place of a specific, required type of electrical grease. * Forum regular wonders (quite reasonably) if Linda is trolling us, and politely gives Linda advice on how to clearly conduct online forum activity. * Linda flares up and starts pointing fingers and calling the whole forum sexist. * I think I am having a stroke reading Linda's thread. This is a theme consistent in all of your threads. Ignoring advice, asking the same question over and over after it has been answered by multiple people, and getting snotty with folks who definitely were not being rude to you is frustrating to others, and insulting to those who are trying to help you. Good riddance. Quote:

I'm very clear in my questions...and if you think I am not...Hey, Don't respond!..
No need to get nasty. You are really a bunch of mean human beings. You see a nice woman and attack, then make up all kinds of things to justify it. You are really a sick group. I hope you get into Horrible accidents, the world doesn't need people like you in it...drive off a cliff, maybe your brakes will fail...one can always hope. Heaven help any woman who comes on "your" forum and does not formulate question to your approval. Really Drive Really Fast this weekend...into a wall, without a passenger, unless it's one of "the group" |

Leave me alone. Go out and drink and abuse someone else, who asks too many questions, or a female, someone who tries to be friendly and nice. I'm glad I'm not close enough to be physically afraid. You are Really Not a nice person Diesel or whatever the hell you call yourself. What goes around comes around..

If you're physically afraid of online banter on an Internet forum, you have some very serious psychological problems. Seek help.
Also seek the "Log out" button on your forum control panel. Don't want more replies? Don't go away mad, just go away. I'm a teetotaler by the way, just thought you'd like to know. I also don't abuse women, not now, not ever. Based on your incomprehensible behavior, I don't think either of those claims can possibly apply to you. Just so you know, I have no intention of stopping replying to you until YOU stop and GO AWAY. Don't want any more replies from me or anybody else? Just go away. It's really that simple.

Pretty sad when a group of men have to attack a woman because they didn't like how she phrased her question, or didn't like the question. It's Friday night...aren't you boys out
stalking women tonight...hitting them around if they mouth off...sounds right, you sick pathetic group of men... And Why don't you stop sending me messages and leave me alone, I'm sure at some point another woman may come onto the forum and you can gang up on her and feel like real men. |

You just keep clinging to your virtual reality.
Found the door yet?

All I'm gonna say is this. We all need to remember, not everyone is as mechanically inclined or experienced as some of us are. Also remember, most of us learned by either doing, or asking others. I am sure if we looked back at some of the questions we had while learning about these cars we would say......geez what a goofy simple question.
In my 40+ years of wrenching I have encountered many people that need to be told something several times before they take my advice. Not sure if it is an understanding issue, a trust issue, or what, but that is simply the way some people are, and getting impatient or angry with them only elevates the situation, much along the lines of what has happened here. You can take from this what you want, but parties on both sides of this argument made comments that were rude, insensitive and in my opinion, un-called for. Now, can we all agree to disagree, shake virtual hands, and get back to fixing and helping others fix their cars?

Psaboic
Psaboic - Thank you...just to clarify, I would be asked questions, then I answered, which would prompt other questions by myself and by people on the thread, nowhere was I asking the same question multiple times. And then out of the blue comes that hurtful remark from Nate(?) If I have a question in the future, psaboic, can I ask you via a private message? if that is ok?...if not, that's fine as well.
Thank you - Lindaj |

Yes that will be fine. If I can answer the question or help I will, and if not I will try to direct you to someone who can.
