Interesting. Quite a setup is needed to test the injection pump. Since the diaphragm on the boost actuator was torn in this 1985, I wonder how many others are torn and owners don't know.
Many fretted when Edd China left the show, but Anthony Anstead has turned out a good replacement, though the scripts now add more phony drama. Funny when Ant says "almost no gap at all, can't even get the gage in there" when trying the 10 mil gage which is the desired gap. Gee, the gap could be 9.5 mil, i.e. almost perfect and the gage wouldn't fit. Indeed, they showed a visual gap before. Wonder why he didn't try the 8 mil gage before fussing with adjusting the valve. BTW, I don't have the special bent wrenches, since straight 14 mm wrenches work for me. The biggest trick is how you move the wrenches as you tighten the nut so you don't change the gap. Always recheck after tightening. I only adjust my valves about 50K mile intervals since I find they rarely need adjusting.
