Vac. Pump pressure test

Can I test vac. pump pressure using mityvac?

LOL sorry about that. I had to get home and look at the Mighty Vac right quick. All you need to do is "tee" the MV into the vacuum supply line. You won't have to pump .

By the way, the vacuum pump does not make pressure, it makes vacuum. Vacuum is measured in inches of Mercury.

I noticed that too (Vacuum/pressure). Its kinda like calling an engine a motor.

The Old Me:
"So, the vacuum deal on the front part of the motor may not make enough pressure..."

The New and Improved Me (and by improved I mean having had all impurities of thought and deed scrubbed away by the benevolent derision of those so obviously surperior in their understanding of things mechanical [actually, a fairly broad swath of the general population]):
"The vacuum pump attached to at the 4:00 position on the forward portion of the engine is providing inadequate vacuum for the proper functioning of all dependent systems."
"Houston, we have a problem." (still shuts down slow and rough).
