Removed my non-functioning vacuum pump.

What electric pump did you go with?

bought both the vacuum pump and vacuum switch from aliexpress.
I think its the ford clone. runs 5 seconds when I turn on the key, then not again until I use the brakes. |
Do you have a Manual Transmission?

My Volvo Diesel has a manual Transmission. Vacuum is only for the power brakes.
The stock vacuum pump is in poor shape and after 3 actions of the brake pedal you get a hard petal. I hooked up an electric vacuum pump by way of a relay to the Bake Light Switch. As soon as you step on the pedal the Vacuum Pump starts and I now have sufficient vacuum to brake all I want to. I did that in addition to the stock pump. |
