Wow. Interesting! Just when I thought I owned a printed copy of every manual applicable to my 300Ds, a new one shows up! Darn M-B... Never even heard of this manual. Merely out of curiosity and if you happen to have a recollection: approximately how many pages do you think the original of this manual had? Fairly short maybe, or...?

Thanks for the screen shot, too. Yep, that's one of those original manual covers alright.

I remember it was about 100 pages because I paid 100 dollars. When it arrived I was really mad to pay my money for a photocopy when the ad said it was an NOS original. I returned it the next day but did take a couple photos and notes for the hunt of an original copy.
The order (part) number is; 6510 1037 02
There were really nice illustrations of the fluid circuits for each gear etc. but no info on adjustments or repair whatsoever. Just how it operates.

Fascinating! This sounds like it would be a great book to casually read through just to learn more about the transmission. That's a very nice example illustration, too. And at around 100 pages, lots to learn.

Thanks for this completely new information to me - just great!

I believe I have that manual. I'll see what I can do about scanning/photographing it.

Wow, that would be a real score and very kind of you. Thanks for your willingness to look into this.

I have a large collection of manuals and materials relating to the 722.3, and have them posted in my archive.org and on the dieselbenz wiki. On my archive.org account I also have posted hundreds of thousands of pages of Bosch service info, and have separated out some MW/RW and training info into separate uploads. The operating principles is in both, as well as an English language translation service manual. An earlier poster in this thread said that an English translation does not exist, and I wonder if we are talking about the same document, or if it *does* exist and is uploaded at one of the following links.

Nice shameless plug for your ebay store. Also irrelevant, as your manual doesn't even have the 722.3 because it was printed in 1971. In addition, some if not all of the content found in it can be found in other service manuals.
