1982 240D blowing fuse 10 (rear defrost)

My 240d recently burned up fuse 10, which is the rear defrost. What are the most common or likely (or best first looks at) places to troubleshoot a possible short? The rear defrost was working immediately prior to the fuse going out.

I recently downloaded the FSM, but need to sort through it, as it's in hundreds of separate files!

Maybe first remove the defrost button on the center console and see if there's any obvious issues there. Perhaps in need of a decent clean or maybe replace?

Fault could just have been poor connections at fuse holder. Or tired old fuse. Clean fuse contacts and try another fuse first. Before digging in.
