Can't seem to find the paint color code for it.
If someone has that info or can suggest a close color match?

To what color?

I'd go to paintscratch.com and put your car's info in. You'll get a list of colors and their codes, as well as options to buy any amount of paint from a pen to a gallon.

The closest external color, and one that will have a code, appears to be Anthracite.

Appears to have been discussed on our very own forum 6 years ago under "interior deck lid" instead of trunk!

This would appear to be the color then:
Up to 20. March 1982 - 7164 (tiefdunkelgrau).
From 20. March 1982 - 7129 (galinitgrau).
