'95 E300D Trans Oil Lower Cooling Pipe
I'm replacing, or trying to, anyway, the two metal trans oil cooling pipes for my 1995 E300D, which are both extremely rusty. I was able to source a nice used upper pipe via eBay, but the lower pipe seems not to be found. I've gotten both flexible hoses through Pelican Parts and would like to get the vehicle back on the road without having to revisit this job. Does anyone have a part number for the lower pipe? Any suggestions for a way to replace this without an OEM part? Or does someone have one of these in good condition they are willing to sell?
FYI, I've tried to search the BenzCat.com - Online Mercedes-Benz Electronic Parts Catalogue to find the part number, as was recommended to me previously, but get nothing this time but error messages, whether I go into it via the direct link provided or type in my VID. Several other sites that were mentioned don't list this pipe. I've looked for hard copies of the Merc PARTS manual for this car but they don't seem to be available. Anyone have any suggestions? |

I'm the guy that sold you the upper hose on ebay. I'm sending you by private message my cell number.
Give me a call tomorrow. I'm parting out a 606 and 603 W124 at the moment. I'm sure I'll have what you need. david

You should be able to take it to a local hydraulic line shop and they'll rebuild it for you. I'm not familiar with the specific line in question, but these shops can replace damaged sections of hard or soft lines, or even transplant the ends onto an entirely new line. They'll need your old one as a template though, to get all the lengths and angles correct. These kinds of shops usually service construction and industrial customers, so they've literally seen it all and are no stranger to metric sizing.
