w201 (1987) 3 pin connector for vacuum actuator
Hello,
Does anyone know where I can source the 3 pin electrical connector for the vacuum actuator on my 1987 190D Turbo? The red wire has broken off at the connector, there's not enough wire to solder to. I poked around on ebay and found lots of vacuum connectors but none of the electrical connections. I tore into the 300SD parts car I have, but while the electrical connectors are also 3 pin, they are a different style and won't work, even if they weren't also cracked badly. I'm guessing this electrical connector is often a point of failure.

Dang. I was really hoping someone would have a source for those.
Anyone have a W201 parts car laying around that could nip that connector off?

What does it look like? Round plug with 3 pins connector go to the vacuum pump? Do you have a picture? I have one.

Unfortunately I can't really tell you what it looks like. This is what mine looks like it is on the driver's door connected to the vacuum actuator.

It is the door pod actuator. I have the plug, see picture, but from a different car so the wiring color is different. It is very easy to find out which wire goes to where. The 3 wires are chassis 0V, 12V and common ( goes to the vacuum pump ). You need to find out which is which.
When you lock the car, the chassis 0V is connected to common. You can ohm it out at the actuator. When you unlock the car, the 12V is connected to common. You can ohm it out at the actuator. You should be able to work it out with the existing wires. I can solder a wire to extend the length. PM me.
