W116 Idler arm bushings

So I'm replacing the idler arm bushings on my 1979 300sd. I had to use a blow torch to heat up the old ones and remove them. What puzzles me is that there are still two metal inserts in the housing where the bushings go. One on top and one on bottom. I don't see how the new bushings will fit in there with these inserts. I am correct in assuming that these inserts will also have to be removed?

Ok, so those inserts were part of the old bushings. I got them out and everything is now good.
