1964 W110 190Dc Rear Wheel Bearing Replacement.

Hey guys,
I’m looking to replace the bearings in my car… I think I’m good with what I have to do with the front wheels, but I’m not sure how to do the rear wheel bearings… Can anyone provide some insight to someone who hasn’t done this job before? Thanks! Your help is really appreciated!!

It has been a long time, but I drove w110 190 gassers for over 30 years. I replaced rear bearings in a couple. I got the parts from the dealer. Off came the wheels and brakes. There must have been some sort of flange that held the axle in, but I don't exactly remember and the factory manual is a little vague with out have a car to look at. I rented a slide hammer that fastened with the wheel bolts. I pulled out the axle and took it to a local to a local machine shop for bearing removal and replacement. Install was the reverse of removal. That factory manual shows a ton of special tools, but I was able to do it with regular hand tools. I remember it being a lot of work.

Yeah, I figured it’d be a lot of work! The rear bearings are the type that have to be pressed in? Do you possibly have a picture of the page of the FSM in question? I do not have the manual, nor have I been able to find one… Thank you for your input!!

I don't have an answer to your questions other than a free source for the FSM.
Hope this is helpful
