OM606 - Head Gasket Job - What the seal is this?

I ordered a head gasket kit that has a couple seals I do not recognize right away.

I think the rubber o-ring may be for the coolant pipe at the rear driver side of the head but I can't place the metal seal.

Any OM606 experts that would mind pointing me in the right direction?

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Black o ring you are correct. If you had removed the part the coolant pipe inserts into the aluminum crush washer seals that part.

I thought so too but incorrect; it’s smaller in diameter than the chain tensioner.

So the same fitting where the black o ring goes? Or is there another coolant pipe?

Apologies…. I want to be clear.

Thank you!

There are several temperature sensors and the fitting where the o ring goes that it will fit.

Cool, thank you.

I don’t think I pulled all of the sensors before taking it to machine. That would explain why I didn’t see it.

Much appreciated.
