Found another 'really good, for now' part # source

Stopped at Park Place Mercedes Plano TX dealer last week checking on parts prices and availability. Parts help has always been professional and pleasant.

Today I was searching online for the delivery valve internals for 95 E300D. One search brought up:

Mercedes/Smart - Catcar.info

also has several other brands for parts lookup.

Supposedly 'safe' according to google and symantec. There is a bit of concern because the two languages are Russian and English.

It was really easy to use and I found the DV part numbers by using the Europe option and not my vin #. For me, it was easier to use than partsouq.com my former favorite site for part #'s.

I tried both links. Both showed images of delivery valve parts but did not have the corresponding part numbers for the internals for a 124.131.

Image #'s 95, 98, 101, 104 and 107 pictured on the diagram.

Went back to catcar.info website, now I can't pull up the part #'s from that site. ???? Will try to go back in history.

Finally after a few hours of searching I think I've found the sequence to get the part #'s for the internals of the OM606 delivery valve.

I spent about 20 minutes on the phone with a parts person from Park Place Mercedes Plano Texas.

At first he told me he had 40 years of parts experience with Mercedes and had never heard of a ' delivery valve '.

Second he said that Mercedes must restrict the information for a reason.

After waiting for several minutes he told me they could give me the part #'s for the o-ring and the copper washer but could not reliably give me the other part numbers for the spring, pressure valve ( metal cylinder and internal valve) and the delivery valve holder.

I knew I had found them yesterday ( took pictures ) but couldn't retrace my steps until today.

I know also that there are several people that know more than I do about the Mercedes and injection pumps. Hopefully they will confirm or provide the correct part numbers for the 606.910 and the 606.912 engines. Possibly the pressure valve ( 2 pieces ) is different for the non-turbo engines. I would like to know before I order that part.

Basically they show up on the european 606.961, 606.962, & 606.964.

They don't show up on the european 606.910 or the 606.912.

I couldn't find a Japanese or South American OM 606 engine using catcar.info.

So using " catcar.info "
Select Mercedes
Car-europe
Maj. Assy M - Engine

Then scroll down or ' find OM 606 ', the om 606 engines are about 4/5ths of the way down the long list.

Then select 606.961 .962 or .964

Then select 07 injection pump
select 45 injection pump
select page 2 for the delivery valve diagram and part #'s.
