OM606 ID help

Greetings;

The serial number stamped on an OM606 I am thinking about buying has the following numbers 606 962 22 014 688. . . . .as best I can tell/see.

Can anyone here help to identify the year it was made or any other info that might be gleaned from this number?

OM606.962 was used in the 1998-1999 E300D turbo diesels here in the US.
