What is the name of the best oil for E320 CDIs?

There is a brand of oil that I think was made in Germany for Mercedes Diesels, I think the name started with an "L".... If anyone knows please tell me!

Gotta love oil threads....

Delvac 1300 15w40 is not full synthetic.

Delvac 1 ESP IS full synthetic and is 5w40, not 15w40.

Anything that meets 229.5 spec is fine....as are several oils that don't meet that particular spec (Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5w40 and Shell Rotella T6 come to mind).

Now that my huge supply of M1 TDT is depleted, I'm going with M1 0w40 European formula. $22 for 5 qt. jug at Walmart.

Was not aware of Delvac extreme. Thanks for bringing it to my attention Jim.

Mobil apparently likes to keep us guessing.
