Extra fan for Extra A/C cooling

I think we would like our cars to have cooler air conditioning. I noticed that I could squeeze another small electric fan in the front of the radiator of my 1984 300SD. I have already replaced my engine fan with an electric fan, and it works well. Has anybody added another fan to the front of their radiator?

Most A/C guys think the 126 system with the factory condensor and the R-4 Harrison/Delco compressor is puny even for r-12. With R-134a they have less kind things to say. Usual recommendation is a parallel flow condensor and a better push fan, but the parallel condensors require new hoses/connectors since there is no "drop-in" replacement parallel version. I like your idea much better, because it's easier and should help to some degree (pun intended). I was at the local auto parts emporium and noticed 12" aux. fans that should just about fit in that space adjacent to the existing aux. fan. Do you know the amp. rating of the existing aux. fan relay or would we need an additional relay?
