Because the centerline is unchanged, the u-joint in these cars develops wear over time. Nigh impossible to alter. Replacing the diff mount can help, but odds are good, the driveshaft joint will need to be replaced. I seem to recall the Ford ranger uses the same joint… not 100% on that though.
