Hi i recently bought a E300TD S210 Wagon and the engine makes a ticking sound when starting cold (mayble hydraulic lifters)
And the idle isn't stable so i was wondering if this would be a fuel related issue (injector)

Are all the glow plugs working? If they are then it sounds fuel delivery issues to me - injectors, delivery valves, injection pump or maybe air in some lines.
