A 2-3 milliamp parasitic draw is normal. Am I missing something here?

OP states battery was replaced...perhaps an internal fault causing a short/draw in the battery???

closing this out, after new battery and all everything seems to be ok.

let the car sit for weeks and so far so good.

the clock will draw a little also.
I had the same issue, I ended up using a relay to completely cut off my alternator unless the key was on.
