You can find them around if you just search for Mercedes w123 Euro headlights. Not all of the Euro lights looked like that so I don't know what's specific about them, but you'll find them. They cost somewhere in the $200-300 range. I would post a link but it'll just get censored.

after studying a bunch of euro lights, and seeing a few with the glass off, it appears the image i posted uses custom euro lights, specifically custom glass (no vertical lines) and modified low beams (smaller reflective circle that sits in a dark concave “frame”)…and possibly some other small details, blah blah blah.
i cant seem to find stock euro headlights that fit this description. maybe im just crap at searching. ehh well, itll be fun trying to make them. |

From a little more searching, it appears that they came with two different styles in Europe (not counting France, which had their whole yellow thing going on). The Hellas were more like what we got in the US in appearance, and the Bosch is the types you're looking for. You may not find even aftermarket ones that match a scale model, which often takes some liberties versus realism. But Bosch style is where you would want to start.

This looks like the model maker's take on regular square beam Euros and not anything custom. Things don't always translate accurately to 1/18 scale. I bet the tail lights are similarly fashioned that you'd think they're based on custom tails but are in fact, the product of trying to scale them down.

I would prefer glass lenses to plastic like the Depo ones I put on my 1984 300D, but hard to find such OE Euro lamps today. The U.S. headlamps with the plastic "doors" surrounding them was a kludge to meet U.S. lighting laws. But, round headlamps seem to be coming back, at least on some demo cars, so I kept those on my 1985 300D when I found some pristine doors on ebay. Some people were bidding crazy on ebay for special French headlamps with some must-have feature like yellow reflectors on the fog lamps, to sell for something like $750. Might have been an IQ Test on irrational exuberance.
