OM606.962 from E class to OM606.961 in S class!? Is that possible!?
Hello dear friends!
Can I put OM606.962 from E class to OM606.961 in S class!? What must change ? I was found one E class w210 with 300 turbo diesel, what must get from it to put into S class, which engine is for repair. Many thanks for help! |
Awhile back I read a comment from one of the Brabus tuner people. Someone asked if they could put a V12 supercharged Brabus engine in a W126. His reply, "With enough time and money, ANYTHING is possible". That said, the moment you begin to change the stock components (especially engines) the value of the car can take a nose dive.
This is why numbers matching (engine and chassis) in the world of vintage cars has a high value to car collectors...... |

For the OP, the likely things to consider include: -oil pan -engine mounts - computing interfaces - intake hardware - fuel filter hardware - exhaust routing -auxiliary systems mounts and belts Not all of these are guaranteed to be different. But it’s a start for what OP needs to investigate. |
I think OP is from Europe and asking about putting an OM606 from a W210 into a W140 that came with an OM606 also.
