Question 350 SDL heads on a 300 TD engine

The heads on my '91 350 SDL need repair. The engine was replaced with a 300 TD engine, after the 350 developed a knock. So I have a 350 SDL with a 300 TD engine.

Can I use the 350 head on the 300 engine? My understanding of the engines is that the 300 was stroked and bored to get the 350. I would think that the 350 head shuld be a bolt on swap. When I did the engine swap I had no issues. Anyone see any issues with a swap of heads?

Thanks for the reply. Do you know offhand if the 350 has larger valves?

Head off the 350 is far superior. In combination with the 3 liter engine block The pair are almost bulletproof.

Actually in my mind also increases the value of the vehicle. If I ever had a car with the 3.5 diesel engine. I would buy a three liter lower block and keep it in storage.
