2005 E320 CDI cold start problem

Hay guys, it seems sometimes that when it rains it pours, lol!

In the last couple of days, my E320 CDI is experiencing as I can best describe it as a hunt during cold starts. The engine has a rhythmic hunt or, better stated a surge upon cold starts the lasts about 10 minutes and then it runs normal! The fuel filter was replaced about 2 years ago and I've only put 12,000 miles on the car since!

I just don't have the vocabulary to descibe it better, when I was a mechanic some 20 years ago we would describe this problem as a hunt, like hunting for an idle.

my past thread about my turbo making a whistling sound was exactly that, an air leak. Thank you
